Hawas Private Collection Review: Luceo, Terra & Dulce Tested

This Hawas Private Collection Review compares Luceo, Terra, and Dulce to help you choose the right fragrance.Rasasi has introduced three initial fragrances under this new Hawas Private Line banner: Luceo, Terra, and Dulce. I first put nose on them at ASD Market Week in Las Vegas, had a chance to speak with the perfumer, and came away knowing Rasasi was doing something different here.
Luceo: A Bright Everyday Citrus Floral
Luceo is the first scent I experienced from the collection, and it opens in a familiar but appealing place. You get a bright burst of citrus and spice immediately, with bergamot, lemon, and ginger leading the way.
Luceo Notes
- Top notes: Bergamot, lemon, ginger
- Heart notes: Magnolia, nutmeg, cardamom
- Base notes: Vetiver, patchouli, cedarwood, amber
The opening can put you in the general neighborhood of fragrances such as Ex Nihilo Blue Talisman or Sospiro Vibrato, simply because of that fresh bergamot, lemon, and ginger combination. But do not get it twisted. Luceo does not stay there.
Terra: The Refined, Grown-Up Standout
Terra was the one that made me say, “Yeah, this is my speed.” It has a refined quality. It feels elevated. It carries itself like a signature scent without smelling like the usual predictable signature-scent formula.
Terra Notes
- Top notes: Saffron, jasmine, cardamom
- Heart notes: Iris, cedarwood, driftwood
- Base notes: Cypriol, oakmoss, Orcanox
Terra opens with a touch of saffron and aromatic spice, then moves into a woody and earthy structure. The iris is important here, but do not worry if you usually avoid iris because of that powdery, lipstick-like quality some fragrances can have. This is not that kind of iris.

Dulce: The Gourmand That Might Change Some Minds
Now, I am not always a gourmand person. I do not need to walk around smelling like a bakery, cheesecake, brownies, or dessert all day. I can appreciate a good gourmand fragrance, but it is not normally where I live.
Dulce might be one of the fragrances that changes that.
Dulce Notes
- Top notes: Passion fruit, hazelnut, pink pepper, Pure Jungle Essence
- Heart notes: Coconut, jasmine sambac, cacao
- Base notes: Patchouli, tonka bean, vetiver oil, caramel, Iso E Super
The opening brings passion fruit, hazelnut, and pink pepper, with a listed ingredient called Pure Jungle Essence. I cannot tell you exactly what that material is, but I can tell you it does not come across animalic.
